Hello Again! Today was another fabulous day at the Wake forest Farmer’s Market! The crops coming in are starting to change a little. Now you can find green beans, potatoes, tomato’s and I think I saw some of the first watermelon’s of the season today! Our market feature today is the only vendor selling Chevon (Goat meat). Two Bridges Farm is a great family team that sustainably raises their animals and produce with lots of TLC. Along with the Chevon they have eggs and produce available (they have some of the sweetest beets I have ever tasted!). If you have not tried goat meat before I suggest you give it a try. No….it does not taste like chicken!! We have enough things tasting like chicken these days! It is a lean meat with a flavor all it’s own. I am sure Gary & Ranell will have some recipes for you to try. So, when you are out at the market stop by and see Gary & Ranell at the Two Bridges Farm booth. Once you talk with them you will know beyond a shadow of a doubt that the entire farm is very well taken care of! They are very warm and delightful to talk with and a great addition to the market!!
